No visiting on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays
All family visits must be arranged through the inmate. The visitor can sign-up for a visiting time by calling the facility and make an appointment. Appointments can be made by phone Monday thru Friday between 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Visitors should arrive no less than 10 minutes before the scheduled visiting time. Visitors will then be registered. Visitors must follow all Detention Facility rules and regulation and instructions given to them by staff. Visitor rules are noted below.
Rules and Regulations for Visitors
• All visitors and their personal belongings are subject to search upon entry into the Detention Facility.
• All visitors will be searched with a handheld metal detector prior to entering the visitation room.
• All visitors must provide valid picture identification. Visitors without proper identification will not be permitted to visit an inmate.
• Only four visitors are permitted per inmate at one time. A Detention Officer will monitor the visitation area by being present or thru camera monitring and may limit the number of visitors if there is insufficient space.
• All minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult and present a birth certificate during registration.
• Visitors who appear to be intoxicated or have the odor of alcohol will be denied access.
• Visitors are expected to use trash cans located throughout the facility and Officers may deny visitation to anyone who litters.
• Visitors may not bring plants, flowers, excessive amounts of books, papers or clothing into the Facility.
Personal items brought into the facility are not the responsibility of the Bridewell Detention Facility.
• Any visitor involved in vandalizing or defacing any part of the Detention Facility or Detention Facility property will be prohibited from visiting. The visitor will be held liable for repairs and subject to prosecution.
• Any visitor bringing drugs, alcohol or any other illegal or unauthorized items into the Detention Facility will be prosecuted.
• Smoking, drinking or eating are prohibited inside the building and in lobby areas. Officers will end a visit immediately if this rule is violated and future visits may be suspended.
• Picture taking (still or video) is not permitted inside the facility.
• No cell phones, keys or other metal objects are allowed, you can leave these in your vehicle or with the secretary at the front office.
• NO extremities in dress, tank tops, halters and skirts more than three inches above the knee are allowed.
• Hats are allowed but will be searched.
• The Warden may permanently deny visitation privileges to individuals who consistently disregard visiting rules and regulations.
Inmate Services
The following services are available to inmates so as to provide a safe and humane environment.
• Medical and Dental Services
The Detention Facility has its own nursing staff that is present on site or on call 24/7. The Medical Services contract also provides Dental Services.
• Religious Services
The local Ministrial Alliance provides spiritual counseling and coordinated religious programming within the Detention Facility.
