Bridewell, LLC employs approximately 90 people to operate the private correctional facility in Bethany, Missouri.
As a detention facility operator it is Bridewell’s business to house people whom have been ordered by a judicial system, to remain in custody. Our primary mission is to house the individuals in the most humane fashion with respect to preserving their most basic rights consistent with incarceration.
It is our goal to elevate Bridewell to the number one private correctional facility in the world; a model for the industry. During the next several years, Bridewell will look at broadening the scope of its operations to serve clients in a number of related areas.

The job description for Detention Officer is:
Maintain control, order and authority in the facility, to ensure the safety, well being and rights commensurate with incarceration of the inmates.
The requirements are:
• Must be 21 years of age
• Must have either a high school diploma or GED
• Possess a valid drivers license (class E or higher)
• Must have never been convicted of a felony
• Must have never been convicted of domestic violence
• Must undergo a Drug Screen
• Must undergo a physical
• Must undergo a background check
• Must undergo a polygraph examination
• Must successfully pass a physical fitness examination.
• Must undergo a 2 week training course
The duties of a Detention Officer are:
• Perform all duties that are associated with maintaining security at the facility and safeguarding of
inmates housed at Bridewell, LLC. These duties include but are not limited to:
• Accountability of inmates
• Transportation
• Roving patrols
• Searches of living areas
• Issuing supplies
• Serving meals
• Processing new receptions
